Total global production for December 2011 came in at 93,065 units, 1.2
percent down over December 2010 and the fifth consecutive monthly decrease
since July 2011. Production volume in Japan at 48,726 units was 2.4 percent
down on December 2010, the fifth consecutive monthly decrease since July
2011. Passenger car output at 42,586 units was 4.7 percent down on the same
month last year. Commercial vehicle output at 6,140 units was 16.5 percent up
year on year.
